My Favorite Fall 2013-2014 Trends

Fall doesn’t officially begin until September 22nd, however, the cold weather is already nipping at our heels! While watching some Fall 2013-2014 fashion shows, I reviewed the most popular trends seen on the runway. From minimalism to reviving a few classics, the fashion is as fresh and crisp as the autumn air.

1. Gray is the New Black

Designers demanded that the new base color in your wardrobe be gray. Black and white will never go out of style of course, but there is just something about a smooth shade of gray this season. Instant sophistication comes to mind!

2. Reinventing Fur

Everyone is encouraged to modernize this timeless classic. Unconventional colors, prints, and various textures are seen looking elegant or rocker chick. I would also like to add that I fully support going faux-fur.

3.  The Bolder the Print, the Better!

It seems as if no print is off-limits. Maximize and mix your printed pieces for a “go big or go home” look. Don’t be afraid to experiment. You could put together something that you’d never thought you would like!

4. It’s Easy Being Green

With emerald being the official color of 2013, designers embraced the hue of nature in all types of shades. Green is said to be THE color of the season.

I would like to take a moment to thank all my readers, both present and future. I hope to continue posting weekly again. I had transferred to a new school this year, and found the process of settling-in to take longer than I expected. I have missed sharing and discussing the wonderful world of fashion with you all dearly. Being away from my passion has only made me love and appreciate it more! Stay chic everyone!
